The number of Speed Cameras being deployed on our roads is increasing on a day-to-day basis.
Most people that have been caught by such devices are led to believe that the case is very much open and shut and they have no chance of defending the allegation made. In our experience however there are a number of legal challenges that can be made in speeding cases both as to the technology that has been used and the way in which the Crown Prosecution seek to present their case.
We
have the legal expertise to challenge this evidence in a courtroom to a
point where the prosecuting authority is compelled to withdraw the proceedings
or alternatively reach some form of beneficial compromise for our client.
- Penalty: Whilst the less serious speeding cases attract 3 penalty points these offences, represent the single most common reason for the accumulation of 12 penalty points which, under the 'Totting up' procedure renders a defendant at risk of being disqualified from driving.
